FAQ

Does Dr. Tracy prescribe bio-identical hormones (bHRT)?

Yes. As a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) in California, Dr. Tracy can prescribe synthetic and natural hormones therapy. She prefers to use naturally derived bio-identical hormones with her patients than other forms of hormone therapy because of their effectiveness and safety..

Will Dr. Tracy test my hormones before prescribing hormone therapy? What types of testing does she use?

Yes. Especially in perimenopause, the symptoms caused by hormones imbalances can be somewhat erratic and confusing. Dr. Tracy prefers to have the complete picture – an understanding of all of your symptoms and the functional, tissue levels of your hormones before recommending any herbal medicine, nutritional supplements or bio-identical hormone therapy.

Dr. Tracy may recommend a combination of saliva and urine testing to get the most accurate results. The type of testing needed will be determined by your symptoms, age, stage of perimenopause or menopause you are in and other factors. These are tests that are relatively easy for you to do at home and the appropriate test kits will be mailed to you after your initial session with Dr. Tracy.

If I do not want to use hormones, can Dr. Tracy still help me?

Absolutely! With over 17 years of experience as a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Tracy is well versed in using many types of therapies to support hormone balance including nutrition, vitamins and minerals, herbal medicine, homeopathy and nutritional supplements.

Can I use my Healthcare Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending (FSA) to pay for Dr. Tracy’s services?

Yes. You may use your HSA/FSA funds to pay for Dr. Tracy’s services, including lab testing. You may also use HSA/FSA funds to pay for any hormones, nutritional supplements, vitamins and herbal remedies she recommends and receive a 15% discount in her online storefront available only to her clients.
